i still havn't had a chance to try it, and i'll post again when i have, but atm i agree with ben. i suppose it encourages fun play, which is what you want in a public. but if i start dying coz my teammate wont just shoot the guy, it'll piss me off

i got respawned, and was jus running fastly back to b(on d2) to get my m4 and nade back

omg you've got to be kidding, it's possible on some occasions that this mod will produce a few laughs...and wonderful i'm respawned again, hurrah.
But on the whole i'm 95% sure that this will just increase the amount of bitching moaning and general unease on the server, it'll encourage more people to try knifing, which means that more people will camp in ridiculous places to try and ambush unsuspecting noobs. therefore these knifers wont be contributing to the objective of the map, causing yet more frustration.

How many times have I been killed because some guy with a knife isn't covering a particular angle? thats the worst.
And how many times have I tked accidentally with a nade, because some arsehole runs in with a knife? many many times....

unfortunately people like me take the game quite seriously, too seriously most of the time, and I have my outbursts every now and then which i'm ashamed of tbh. I been trying recently to control myself more and all that, but mods like this are gonna make it a lot more difficult to do so.

cs is cs because when you die you die...no respawn til the next round, so in effect you want to make cs something else? a different game altogether?

another thing...the 40hp boost when you get a knife kill I think is justified, knife kills aren't easy to get so yeah, a reward like that is good. Teammates getting respawned? not justified imo, but you know that already i guess! Maybe you could set up another server with a load of wacky mods on it instead?

imo, remove this give us back the 40hp bonus

cuz at times ive done 3/4 knifes in a row... that would mean 3/4 teammates respawned nah ill have the health

I had a triple knife on Piranesi this morning, completely turned the round on it's head. But..how many times do I get shot trying to do the same thing? I think it evens up.

So put a positive spin on Branded's point, running with a knife into a room full of enemies can cause untold tk action so it does bring some benefit as well as problems. I'd also suggest that a dot on the radar moves a lot slower than a nade. The knife camping you talk about only really works on a badly losing team - if you're winning the enemies don't make it round to you, or are cautious enough to look out for you. Most knife kills come from cutting a swathe through a weak or undefended choke point and coming round the back - certainly not a negative way to play.

In any case, do you really think a lot of people will risk sacrificing themselves taking on what is a very dangerous task just to respawn someone else?

In summary, I can't see the abuse being widespread, but I fully concede the point that it alters the game away from 'pure' CSS.

i wa on parkade, knived a guy and was awaiting my hp, didnt know it was removed, just got to respawn nameless. not much of a reward for me is it? and also tough on him, no money no gun, jus another death

huh? i cant remember that i ever played parkade yet , i only got respawned on d2 , and italy(didnt knew i was respaned and someone poped a bullet through ma head, dead again....)
