Hi there
|
Yeah just writing here about the recent events of our team as we havent really given much feedback and input onto these forums, so i thought id write a little bit and see what u guys think.
So we just qualified for ESL, looks like its going to be an awesome league im really looking forward to it. The prize money is good the competition is sufficient, and dare i say it but i think we are the favourites (YEY). The main contenders to us of course are the swaygaming lineup and zen, personally i feel these 2 shouldnt really contend us, i beleive we have the teamwork now and the players to really dominate that 3rd spot in the UK behind the cgs teams, and we should be THE team if any to be pushing for that 2nd spot in the UK( London mint are in our sights ). I think if anything goes wrong in this tournament it`ll be online, i cant see us being beaten by any of these teams when were in our game head mood and on LAN so i feel very confident to come out winners in ESL. Eurokreig so far has been an awesome tournament its really given us the chance to express ourselves and revenge our shock loss to ZEN @ i34 which really was a downer, i dont beleive we should have lost that game and with no disrespect to ZEN but it felt like the game was kinda void after the loss to Mint. We knew to some extent that Salvo would be in a bit of a slump playing online and wernt really aiming to play as certain players in their team were heading off to uni and enjoying their well earnt 40k prize money from cgs. This left us with ZEN to beat on a map weve never played before as a team to go through, fortunately some ill clutch rounds from the boys gave us the win and it really was quite an intense game as vent was very very focussed. I of course came bottom both halves due to my arm which i REBROKE (brilliant), which i hope i rectified into the match vs SPEEDLINK in the first knockout stage in Eurokreig. We literally handed them their asses on a plate, going ct first on dust is always a downer but to lose the half 8-7 on the sort of server it was we knew that we had really done well. We pretty much rolled T side with our standard strat not giving too much away for the BETAS(keen mother ****ers) of the rest of the source community, JOB DONE. Inferno was literally TOXIC @ their best, with me not really missing awp shots i felt that id finally hit the point where my arm was good enough for me to really show my worth once again( something the Fragmasters havent seen ), and im sure theres more to come. PCGAMER, right where do i start, possibly the most randomly organised tournament ever ? ahahah, some how its ended up with a 9 pm start for a BYOC lan and a 12 pm FINISH one day event? incredibly in the 10 years ive been playing ive never heard of anything even close to like this hahahha, But with multiplay adminning the event 1st seed will be playing 2nd seed in the first knock out round and the maps choices will make sense(lol). But yeah were all really looking forward to this event, before i34 we all had our doubts about whether wed put in enough practise before the event and whether we had picked the right player for the job. Our doubts became reality of course. But this event theres a different feeling, we havent had any problems sorting our arrangements out, everyones turning up in the right place at the right time, theres no people moaning about money and shit like that, And for once ithink weve finally hit a tournament with every map covered and everyone playing good and interacting well! I dont wanna put too much pressure on the lads or myself but i can see this tournament being a BIG step up for us guys and i cant reallyt expect any less than a top 3 finish. We need to beat london mint, and If that happens then salvo of course will be in our grasps. I know people will be sceptical and say all stuff about how weve not really proven before and all this stuff, but EVERY once in a while one team in counterstrike pops out of no where well drilled and really raring to go, and they do something special, I do beleive this is our time and i hope we can give fragmasters back what they deserve for giving us the opportunity to turn up to this event and give them something to be proud of. Sorry for the essay fair enough if people dont wanna read it i know i probs wouldnt but im sure theres a few guys out there who would be interested in what i have to say( actually maybe not) and will probs like a bit of an insight into our world ![]() Wish us luck and look out for pictures of us with a big 6k cheque peace out

Hi there

Oh yeah and our next game in eurokreig is against...... yeah u guessed it our arch rivals London Mint, We are really hoping to get this game played @ pcgamer if the ED admins let us ( they probs wont ) but yea that`ll make for a bit of a specticle especially if we dont get to play them in the pcgamer event ;D
I think LAN is a strong point for us over London, if anyone watched the previous game vs them online it was kinda dead and a lack of intensity, thats how it felt to me neways, i kinda was still on the downer that my arm had rebroken otherwise i reckon we probably would have given them a much much much better game. But i know people flamed me the banter that i gave to London mint @ i34 but it really can make the difference in the games, its not unsportsman like in my oppinion, im usually the first to head over to another team and shake their hands no matter what the outcome, but ingame is a completely different matter. In football i used to wind players up, as a goal keeper @ freekicks / corners i used to stand on peoples feet, ANYTHING to gain the advantage, and on lan vs London Mint i wil gain every advantage i can, because thats what it means to me ![]() SO as an outcome stay tuned for SRCTV cause it might come out on saturday late notice i`ll do my best to get on these forums and spam it around some on irc but u never know i might have pizza to eat or something It`ll make for a great game either way so dont miss it.Anyone who wants to come visit us @ pcgamer @ the weekend plz do, i dunno if were at our computers that much cause we will have a lot to talk about each opponent and will want to keep refreshed and raring to go throughout the day, but yeah if u can catch us come say hi and watch a few games all support is good and will really help us if we have a couple of fanboys behind us making us feel just that little bit special

I'll be at the event Saturday and will do all i can to post up the stvips but dont expect too much chat as I'll probably end up doing it from my phone as the pr0z dont like me touching their PC's xD
remember this amounts to a one day event guys, tourny start is between 9am and 11am (Multiplay still not able to confirm start time :S ) and will be played to a final on the Saturday night (final on the stage in the evening) so if you are thinking of coming along make it on the Saturday not the Sunday

Nice post, good too see a team like yourselves sticking it together and having a solid roster because we all know rosters in the uk can get ridiculous at times,it would be a great feat to pull of all 3 tournaments i hope you lads do it and best of luck with it all
