FMVent 91.192.210.40:3836 ![]() My Mood: | Fragmasters Amnesty Special: 1st August 2008 This is a new concept, an idea that has never done before in fm history, and I am currently thinking about it and everyone is allowed to give constructive feedback regarding this issue. It is open for public discussion and would like to hear your point of view. I will read everyones comments but that does not mean that I will agree or accept your opinions. Fragmasters Summer Anesty Day, 1st August 2008 is about a special day for members to seek repentance and genuinely feel sorry for their past conduct under fm!. -- This is a opportunity for the user to put a serious statement forward in order to be unbanned. I promise to be compassionate and management will review their statement as people change over the years. I believe that people can change, if they have the desire to do so, especially when some of our bans are pre-dated 2004. Fact, a large quantity of bans pre-2004 had been lost. What are your thoughts?

Boom Shacka ... ! ![]() ![]() ![]() My Mood: | Nice one ph33r, i suppose it's a very good idea to let some people who feel they would like to be un-ban from fm have that chanc, but then again you might ofc get some idiots tht get unban who just give you / us on fm more greif e.t.c. =p

Wise Guy ![]() | No. Once a person has been banned from the community then they should stay banned. There are people who will make a statement about how sorry they are and they're not. If they want to play on the servers again, let them pay the money for a new steam id. |

Drunken Cannon Fodder My Mood: | If a person is brazen enough to break the rules which are written down in plain black and white they don't deserve a second chance regardless of the circumstances, especially hacking. Forgiving a ban that is not only justified but needed to keep these people from ruining the game and the good atmosphere isn't going to work as it sends the wrong message to these people, it makes them think that all they have to do is do a little sweet talking or fob someone off (no offense to anyone) and they get it wipe off their slate and they are free to do it again. Keep them banned. |

Gangster ![]() My Mood: | Kind of in 2 minds on this one - on the one hand I think it could be a good idea - I'm sure there are some people who really are sorry for whatever they did, and would use the opportunity in the spirit it is intended. I would hope that the genuine ones would be possible to sort out from the insincere ones, but don't know that they would (if you do go ahead, I would say that none should be discussed in open forum - the flaming that would inevitably result would be entirely counter productive. Make it management only.) But - Irishman has a very good point. Paying for the new steam ID (which will be necessary in many cases due to VAC anyway) is their apology. Unless you are planning to consider unbanning the few people that are banned whenever their new ID's are found that is (and tbh considering most of those got that status due to flagrant **** taking, it seems unlikely that their attitudes will really have changed). Hmmmm... Think keeping them banned is maybe best - you will probably end up with a lot of aggro for not a great deal of benefit otherwise.... |
