With the rediculous amount of cash in transfers these days its crazy to think when I was born that the record was Ruud Gullit at only £6mil.

The cash involved is growing exponentially, and I think this image just shows how quickly the smaller clubs are probably going to be cast aside in terms of competition as they wont be able to meet transfer prices or wage demands of top players (*cough cough* Michael Owen).

We can only hope that the excessive cash involved with bigger clubs makes them collapse in on themselves as with Newcastle!

Well if all the clubs that are splashing the cash end up broke cos of high wages, then there will only be teams with less money left in the top flight :P
