Can't argue with that, great quality RAM.

still the best

I might hav e gone for the XFX PV-T96G-YHF4 cus of there warrenty system and it is cheaper (here in the Netherlads).

there are better 9600gt's out there for ten pounds more, but i was trying to prove a point

Good HD, one of the faster 250Gb ones (responce time) and still real cheap, would still have gone with a Western Digital drive tho, they might be 0.5ms slower but I am just a WD fan boy.

LG driver are as good as any other so no comment here.

A case is a case eh?
But I wouldn't trust a PSU that comes with a case, especially if you pay only 35 euro's for both.

The E8200 is nothing special, can't say much about it since barely anyone takes it cus the E8400 and E8500 aren't that much more expensive and real overclockers (E8400 is 1 Euro more expensive as the E8200).

The 9600 GSO is kinda as useless card, doesn't perform at all.
But there is a GSO out there (forgot the brand, sorry) which can be modded to a 9600 GT cus it basically had all the hardware of a GT but with 2 disabled RAM chips.

Strangely I do not see a motherboard listed, so count on that being crap (Asrock or something).

8Gb RAM is allot and tbh. none needs that much atm with a handfull of exceptions.

That is it for now, might comment a bit more later.
i hate saying it but AMD kicks ass at the bottom end of the market, there all extremely capable chips, at top prices, and we very good support both on and off line. all there chips come with fans, which easily keeps it cool when under load, and can also run under a good overclock. there only downside is that they can't encode video's as well as intel at any level. but it's not all that noticable if you don't encode much .

9600gt, still rock, especially after another price drop, for the reference if i was building the pc at the top i would have used

512MB Palit/XVis 9600GT Sonic, PCI-E 2.0, Mem2000MHz, DDR3, GPU700MHz, 64 Cores, 2xDL DVI-I/HDMI/DP £82
Scan Computers UK: 512MB Palit/XVis 9600GT Sonic, PCI-E 2.0, Mem2000MHz, DDR3, GPU700MHz, 64 Cores, 2xDL DVI-I/HDMI/DP

i' talked to garner about 8gb of memory once, atm theres no point at all. 2gb is capable of running xp and all ur games np. 4gb is better and u will see a noticable difference in load times and when u go back to a full screen game. but thats pretty much it. 4gb's isn't twice as fast as 2gb.

bahamut is right, u have sort of gone off topic a little

and dracky just for the record that config isn't all that good
reasons.

1. for the price of 2 good 9600gt's in sli ur shelling out nearly £200 (p&p + vat), u might as well get an ATI sapphire HD4870 Scan Computers UK: 512MB Sapphire HD4870, PCI-E 2.0(x16), 3600MHz GDDR5, GPU 750MHz, 800 Cores, 2x DL DVI-I/ HDTV, HDCP, and trust me i'm not an ATI fanboy. the new ATI cards are quite something.
2. don't use vista nuf said
3. whats the point in 2 400gb drives in raid zero when 1 samsung f1 750gb can do the job better and cheaper
4. no need for more than 4 gb's of memory atm, any more and ur just wasting your money, get ur gf some flowers or something to take the edge off u spending all this money on urself
5. the E8400 is a good chip, but get the equivilent AMD one as it's a damn site cheaper and probably a bit quicker.

actually looking at it again, bin ur setup and just get mine

Cus the access times are faster and the F1 series tend to break down.

(As i discovered) You have to spend money on the psu for the gpu to run. A 9600 GT as in the OP needs a PCI-E, and i cant see if theres a spare cable there for it.
