Thug | Mobotherboard - Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe I have this board and its one of the best AM2 boards around and the reviwers LOVE IT Link : Asus M2N-SLi Deluxe (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard £83 Graphics - 8800GT SLI The 8800 GT may be getting on now but when there in SLI they still hang with the big boys!! And there power requirements are perfect for your PSU!!! Link : Asus GeForce EN8800 GT 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail Price for Both £188 Memory - OCZ 2GB package Decently quality memory thats nots to cheap and is also not to expensive, order 2 sets for the 4GB so that you have enough for the future ![]() Link : OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2 (OCZ2P800R22GK) Price for 2 sets ( 4GB ) £64 CPU - AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+ 3.00GHz Alot of people sniff at these CPU's for being 'slower' then an core 2 duo and there right, core 2's are indeed faster BUT when it comes to bang for buck the core 2's just cannot compete. I use an Overclocked AMD 64 X2 Dual Core 5600+ and to get the same performance from a core 2 duo i would have to have spent DOUBLE what i paid for the the AMD 5600+. With the 6000 there is also room for overclocking which the Asus motherboard that i have recomended can do ![]() Link : AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+ 3.00GHz (Socket AM2) - Retail Price : £66 Total : £401 ![]() ![]() ![]() Thats minus delivery but you would money left over for odds and sods like a better CPU cooler, case, fans etc etc etc... If thats too much just take out one of the 8800GT's ![]() That is one powerful rig and you would be hard pressed to get one as fast especially with those 2 8800GT's in there. Not to mension when it comes to game playing it would knock natasha's system into last week Last edited by [FM] Sgt. Mole; 03-10-2008 at 10:11 PM. |

Thug | Although i have a 5600+ and not a 6000+ ![]() 8800GT'S in SLI are pretty untouchable TBH. No single card under £250 can touch them and at times they even match or beat a 280GTX!!!!!! I love my 8800GT's ![]() Might get a phenom though, only a low end one then OC it to an inch of its life | |
