MIC ISSUES

hi guys

just bought a brand new creativy fatlity ( what ever the things called ) gaming headset

but when i play cs:s or dod:s people complain my mics breaking up

but when i use it on vent or ts it sounds perfect any ideas?

Control Panel > Sound & Audio Devices > Make sure in every box available that Creative Fatality is selected

any more help bahumat there not usb there jack headphones so i dont have drivers for them or should need them

it wouldnt hurt to dl the drivers,install them and see if that helps mate.

ive ire-installed my dell drivers for my onboard soundcard

btw im not a dip shit i work in ict for living as a desktop support enginer so be as complex as you like come on more help lol

mikboy can you help me test over steam see if you hear me ok x

Sorry I read the first post wrong! I assumed the fatality was a sound card

Oopsy

Are you using a soundcard or are you using onboard mo'bo sound to plug your Headset into?
Also, have you tried setting audio to High quality etc in game options...

P.S. Mik I dont think there is any drivers for a headset that plugs into jacks...

will do mate,i might be on sometime 2morow or saturday coz im off to work now.if i remember right the last time i was on the same time as you your mic sounded really bad (probly the old one) so its probly not be a prob with the mic's.

onboard on mboard its a dell gx620 lol shit but runs dod;s all good

set everthing highest i sounds really good when you do tests so its not the mic! or the card

but sounds shit over steam and ingame

If you do sound good on one application, but not on another .. there is nothing wrong with your mic!
But thats not rocket science, is it.

My first guess is that it has got something to do with a "burst volume" thing somewhere.
First check all windows sound options, but my bet is that its application dependend!
So .. check all the apps settings where you having problems with.
